The ambient is great, set in a traditional village home like atmosphere. You would even find a cow shed close to the restaurant!

Try the South Indian style buffet breakfast, set around an open kitchen.

Kamat Lokaruchi is located between Ramnagara and Channapatna, on your right as drive towards Coorg. You'll see the massive signboard in front of it 3km after you've passed Ramnagara town signal. There is a gap on the divider right in front of Kamat Lokaruchi. Crossing the highway is bit of challenge , esp during the peak traffic hours.

Also during the rush hours (breakfast,lunch or Dinner) the place get phenomenally busy. Parking overflows to the high wayside, and long waits for getting a seat. That's the only issue you may face during the rush hours.

• There are a couple of more Kamat's ahead on the highway, on your side, though not with the same fanfare of Kamat Lokaruchi. The Kamath Upachar is about 15km ahead, which is usually less crowded (everyone got into the first Kamath's!). Food is comparable. Ambient is more spacious than the Lokaruchi. No need to cross the highway.
• Right next to Kamath Lokaruchi is the sprawling Janpada Loka (www.jaanapadaloka.com) a unique Folk Arts Museum.
• Immediately after Kamat Upachar is Vaishali drive in restaurant, popular for non-veg and veg dining out. Ambient is great. very clean rest rooms. Kids will like those pet bunnies and turkeys.
