Bangalore to Kukke Subramanya by Road : Take the NH4 (Tumkur Road) out of Banaglore and then NH48 towards Mangalore via Hassan and Sakleshpur. At Gundya, about 37km after Sakleshpur turn left leaving the NH48. Subrahmaniya is about 21km away from the NH48. There roads are in reasonably good driveable condition. The ghat road is 20km or so between Sakleshpur and Gundya, where it's pretty curvy and uphill.

Bangalore to Subrahmaniya Route ( distance 284km): Bangalore City –30km–>Nelamangala–44km–>Kunigal–30km–>Bellur Cross (Nelligere)–45km–> Channarayapatna –37km–> Hassan –40km–> Sakleshpur –37km–> Gundya Ckeckpost –21km–> Subrahmaniya.

Bangalore to Kukke Subramanya by Bus:

SRTC operates a good number of daily services to Kukke Subramanya from Bangalore.
Airavat : There is an Airavat (Volvo) in the night at 22:45 . On weekends (Friday and Saturday) there an additional volvo service leaving Bangalore at 23:14 . Buses leave from Majestic bus station. Fare is about Rs590.

Rajahamsa: There are about 8 Rajahamsa services to Kukke Subramanya from Bangalore. Most of them leaves Bangalore between 8 pm and 11pm. One leaves early at 08:17am. All leaves from Majestic bus station. Bus fare is about Rs590.

There is also a non-ac sleeper type overnight bus service (Fare:Rs590).

Sarige: There are 2 two Sarige overnight services with reservation. Bus fare is about Rs290.

Bangalore to Kukke Subramanya by Train: The daily overnight Yesvantpur - Karwar/Kannur (Train no : 16523/16517)is ideal train for Kukke Subramanya from Bangalore. This goes via Mysore. The Subramanya Road railway station (Code:SBHR) is about 11 km from Kukke Subramanya town. Train leaves 8.40pm from Bangalore City Jn and arrives Subramanya Road at 5.55am.

Take the day train Yesvantpur - Karwar Express (Train no 16515 Monday, Wednesday and Friday) if you are keen to enjoy the ride through the ghat. This train leaves 7.30 am from Yasvantpur and reaches Subramanya Road via Tumkur and Arsikere.
