There are two direct buses called FlyBus. These are multiaxial Volvo luxury buses with built in restroom and other conveniences.

Plan your arrival at Bangalore to one of these two service. Also book FlyBus well in advance. There are only 42 seats per bus. Book a left window seat. You'll enjoy the views , esp from near Mysore all the way to Madikeri.

At www.KSRTC.in portal Select KEMPEGOWDA INTL AIRPORT and MERCARA ( MADIKERI ) as from and to points. Pay online. There's also an option to select 'Single Lady' ( 2 seats reserved seats for female passenger traveling alone).

As a last minute option, try buying ticket directly from the kiosk at the airport bus terminal. In case you could not get a direct Madikeri FlyBus, book one up to Mysore ( there are about 1 FlyBus to Mysore in every 90 minutes frequency, approximately). Get connection bus to Madikeri from Mysore.

Ticket cost Rs 1000 (about 13USD) one way to Madikeri. Ticket price is Rs 750 (about 10USD) up to Mysore.
